QoS Improvements

Client Scenario

  • Calls dropping midstream always present challenges for customers. One among many of the reasons is preventing overloading of SIP sessions, i.e.call saturation at the switch level.
  • Inteliquenthad limited reporting data source information and gaps in the documentation of requirements. 
  • The client intends to analyze the performance of the switches deployed nationwide.
  • Internal users had pressing needs for visibility into the call drops by market/region to determine customer impact.

Solution

  • The data platform Prism consumes 800+ mm records per day (>1.5 TB/day) in near real-time, enriched, stored, and indexed, reducing the 4-day consumption period down to 15 minutes
  • PRISM consumes the CDR streams coming off the switches and determines the call saturation
  • PRISM’s machine learning capabilities determine the core cause for call disconnection
  • Depending on the output of ML analysis, call saturation routing alerts are raised

Impact

  • Managing quality of service allowed proactive addressing of call saturation scenarios in real-time, thereby improving customer experience and reducing time to detect anomalies and remediate system issues
  • Secured future innovation by delivering a knowledge repository for reports, including LLDs, User Guides, a One-stop document for reports, Data, and process flows for the business users.

Call Routing Cost Effectiveness

Client Scenario

  • Call cost is determined by the routing the call takes from caller to the callee. The more vendor networks it traverses, the cost to carry the call increases.
  • Determining optimal routing to ensure cost effectiveness is important in an age where consumers have “All You Can Eat” minutes, but they pay a flat rate.
  • Inteliquent had “after the fact” analysis to determine the rating policy effectiveness

Solution

  • PRISM, as part of the call streams reviews the routing taken by each call 
  • PRISM mashes the call route with the pricing tiers and determines any degradation with routing from a pricing standpoint
  • If the call pricing is higher than configured threshold, the alerting platform takes over for alerting on routing effectiveness. 

Impact

  • Any misconfigured call routes that may be in more expensive tiers for carrier traffic, they are caught in near real-time
  • If there are new routes that are getting heavier usage, the data is now available for better contract negotiation with intermediate carriers/interconnects.

Robocaller Detection

Client Scenario 

  • There are large number of calls that Telco providers receive which are classified as “robocaller.” 
  • Such calls are not made by people and are generally spam-related. 
  • Identifying such calls is crucial to providing accurate pricing to customers and blocking future calls

 Solution 

  • Route all call data through a custom monitoring framework
  • Utilize proprietary AI/ML classification algorithms in order tomark calls as robocallercalls
  • Easily configurable rules to tweak the classification algorithms
  • Automated routing of data to dashboards as reports 

Impact

  • Provide an easy to use, configurable interface for analysts to identify potential robocaller calls and tweak the algorithm used to classify them 
  • On the network side, prevent artificially high call volume from overloading servers and causing traffic congestion 


Customer Facing APIs

Client Scenario

  • With the business landscape and customer base being smaller telecommunications companies, the customer interaction for volume transactions cannot be a web-based portal requiring manual interaction, thereby the need to build an API layer to interact with all aspects of TN management.
  • There was a need for reconciliation across data stores, both internal as well as with customer’s internal systems. An automated auditor was needed to ensure the integrity across data stores.

Solution

  • Created a suite of over 200 APIs to allow for customers to be fully integrated for complete order flows and reporting including feature management without the need for human interaction. 
  • Created an Auditor platform to allow for systems to be in data sync with each other. 

  

Impact

  • With the client’s customer base being other tech platforms, having these apis made their integration seamless.  
  • Ensuring that data platforms were in sync across the eco-system (TN management, billing, network usage etc.) made data governance meet its goals. 


Streamlined Investment Management Portal

Client Scenario

  • Our client was looking for a comprehensive wealth management platform - streamline workflows, manage documents, reduce errors
  • Provide better tools for servicing clients, managing research, marketing funds 
  • General reporting for their investors and advisors.

Solution

  • Using a microservices architecture, we built services for onboarding funds, onboarding advisors and investors, fund marketing, document management, and client servicing and reporting. 
  • Sophisticated access control allows the client to onboard external advisors and segment their access. 
  • Intuitive UX makes it easy for client services to onboard investors and manage documents. 
  • The system is built to allow multiple tenants so it can be used to onboard external advisors and/or white label the platform. 

Impact

  • The platform has reduced the workload and streamlined operations across all aspects of the business.
  • Sophisticated, access control provides secure access to documents and reports across hundreds of advisors
  • Rich dashboards allow the visualization of the portfolios in many different ways and provide new insights into risks and opportunities.


Portfolio Management System for PIPES and SPACS

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR PIPES AND SPACS

Client Scenario

  • Our client was relying on a collection of Excel spreadsheets to manage their investment portfolio of exotic securities. 
  • As the portfolio grew and the risk and valuation models got more sophisticated, it became evident that they needed a solution to manage the investments and daily transactions more effectively.

Solution

  • We designed a custom web-based portal and migrated all the data to the cloud
  • Created a document management system to keep track of warrant covenants and contracts
  • Created a pricing tool to compare the warrant valuations across multiple models with the ability to improve the model using AI/ML
  • Provided a timeline of all transactions and changes to the portfolio to provide a comprehensive audit trail

  • Ability to manage all investment specific documentation, agreements, transactions, and pricing from a single comprehensive portal
